And as a level 10 Faceit player and a Global Elite in matchmaking with over 4.5k hours in Csgo, I will answer this question: Faceit ranks to mm 2021
Faceit Ranks To MM Equivalent
The problem with most discussions about Faceit ranks to mm rank is that they do not consider how different Faceit is in other regions.
For example, the Oceanian Faceit region has such a small player base that reaching a high rank is easier than in the European area.
This is the reason everyone seems to disagree about what Faceit level is equivalent to each mm rank.
Additionally to that, is the ranks 1-5 in Faceit very bizarre ranks.
This is because most people’s first rank is somewhere there. Which leads you to find some good players and some trash players playing together.
This leads to such big intervals of matchmaking ranks in the lower levels on Faceit (see pictures below).
This estimation is also done with the assumption that the player has played enough games on both.
Otherwise, if the player has too few matchmaking or Faceit games, they might not rank properly.
This is also why the intervals of matchmaking ranks get smaller the higher you get in the Faceit ranks to mm comparison.
Since the system gets more data to work with, the ranks and levels better represent the player’s actual skill level.
Here is the estimation of what mm rank is equal to what Faceit level in the different regions.
European Region (EU)
American Region (NA and SA)
South East Asian Region (SEA) and Oceania
These pictures should, however, be taken with a grain of salt. There will be many outliners which this don’t who this doesn’t apply to.
Most of the time, it will be because they don’t play enough of either mm or Faceit to get their proper rank. But sometimes, there may be other reasons involved.
Faceit And MM Ranks
Faceit has an Elo system with teen different skill groups. They begin at level 1 and go to level 10. Level 1 has an Elo interval of 1-800, level 2 has 801-950, and level 3 has 951-1100.
The intervals continue at 150 Elo each until level 10, which is 2000+ Elo. After that, everyone stays at level 10.
Even if the differences between a 2000 Elo player and a 3000 Elo player are huge, they both are level 10. For more information regarding Faceit Rank Distribution, go here.
This is why it is so hard to compare level 10 with Global Elites. Because even if the same is true for MM, there are simply not as many outstanding players who do play mm. Most play Faceit or ESEA and do not even have a rank in mm.
MM has 18 different ranks. You can learn about them in CS: GO rank distribution.
Faceit Level 10 VS Global Elite
When comparing Faceit level 10 with a Global Elite, you need to know the players’ region.
A Global Elite in Australia, for example, will not find it hard to reach level 10. But one from Germany will probably get stuck at level 5-7.
This is because the player’s base in Eu is way bigger than Oceania. Therefore it becomes harder to rank level 10.
But for the most part, a Faceit level 10 player is better than a Global Elite. And most global would struggle in a game against level 10’s.
When comparing them from a gameplay standpoint. The biggest difference between the global elite and the level 10 player is usually the utility usages and team play.
A level 10 will know how to efficiently use grenades to further his advantage. He will also learn the essential smokes and flashes on most maps.
The level 10 player will also, in general, be better at trad-fragging and coordinate flashes with teammates.
Couple this with slightly better game sense and a more consistent aim you see why the level 10 players are superior to the average Global Elite.
