Faceit Rank Distribution 2020 – Ultimate Overview

This is the Faceit Ranking Distribution for 2020 in Csgo. And it got some results that appeared strange in the beginning.

Overview

Faceit Rank Distribution
Faceit Rank Distribution 2021

The Faceit Rank Distribution is very interesting because it is not like most ranking distributions and has little to no pattern.

Most ranking systems usually look like a normal distribution graph or a graph that goes evenly down from the first rank.

But not Faceit, it instead begins pretty high and then goes up the three first levels to then fall down fast until level six where it stabilizes.

Thereafter it goes slowly down until level 10 where it goes up a bit.

Level 3 is the level with most players, and it’s expected since it is most players’ first rank.

Level 2 and 1 are the same, normal first ranks. Thereafter you usually need to play some more before you get higher.

Something must players don’t do – hence the plunge. It thereafter stabilizes and goes slowly down until level 10.

Level 10 goes up a bit, but it is expected since level 10 is 2000 elo or more. and many have a lot more than 2000 elo.

Faceit Elo Ranks

Faceit Rank Distribution – Over 2000 Elo

It was very surprising at first why level 9 would have the least amount of players. But then it became obvious since level 10 is 2000 elo or more.

It is only natural that it has more players since there are a lot of players with an elo way above 2000.

If Level 10 only had an elo span of 2001-2150 like the other levels do, it would only have 0.30% of the players. Less than level 9 has.

And if there then existed a level 11 that went from 2151-2300 elo it would have 0.18% of the players.

If we continue this, level 12 (2301-2450 elo) would have 0.12% of the players, and level 13 (2451-2600 elo) would have 0.09%.

Level 14 (2601-2900 elo) would have 0.07% of the players and level 15 (2751-2900 elo) would have 0.05%.

If you have an elo over 2901 then you are in the top 0.04% of the Faceit rank distribution for Csgo.

So in other worlds out of a room with 2500 Faceit players, you would beat everyone.

Over 2000 Elo Distribution Overview

  • Level 11 (2151-2300 elo) = 0.18%
  • Level 12 (2301-2450 elo) = 0.12%
  • Level 13 (2451-2600 elo) = 0.09%
  • Level 14 (2601-2750 elo) = 0.07%
  • Level 15 (2751-2900 elo) = 0.05%
  • over 2901 elo = Top 0,04% of all Faceit Csgo players.

Of course, no rank after level 10 exists. These are only hypothetical levels to show the distribution of players after level 10.

Faceit vs MM – Rank Distribution

MM vs Faceit – Rank Distribution

While looking at the two distributions side by side it is impossible not to notice that Faceit level 10 has a higher percentage then Global in MM.

This could make some take the conclusion that reaching Global Elite is harder and more impressive then Faceit level 10.

This however could not be further from the truth. Level 10 on Faceit is much harder to reach and the players there are way better than the average Global Elite.

The MM to Faceit rank equivalences is not in any way equal to each other.

Even if the distribution makes it look like fewer players are Global then Level 10 that is not the case. The truth is that many more players play mm compared to Faceit.

Therefore, even if the percentage is bigger the amount is still smaller.

Furthermore, Faceit has a much better average player then mm, since most players play mm up to around mg-dmg before some move to Faceit.

Method Used

The source for this information about Faceit Rank Distribution 2020 is taken from Faceit’s dashboard.

By looking through the player rankings at each level, you can calculate the number of players in each rank and divide by the number of total players.

This gives you the percentage on each level.

The problem with this method is that it’s not exact.

This is because to calculate the number of players in rank you need to take the differences in rankings between the beginning of the Faceit level and the end of the Faceit level.

The problem arises when you look at the ranking on players on the edge of the level. They have a specific elo.

This elo number is shared with many other players. This leads to the ranking of players with the same elo being different.

This makes it impossible to know the exact number of players in each rank. Only a very accurate estimation can be made.

FAQ

A: No, it is a third-party service that has zero impact on your mm rank.

Q: How much elo do you get per win in Faceit?

A: usually it is between 23-27 elo, it all depends on the combined elo of both teams compared to each other. You could theoretically get a game where you only would get 1 elo for the win and lose 49 for the loss. This occurs if the teams are extremely unbalanced.

Q: How do I see my elo on Faceit?

A: You need to have Faceit Premium to check your elo on Faceit. You can however check it on third-party sites such as Faceitstats.com

Q: When should I start playing Faceit?

A: It is recommended to not start playing Faceit before you are at least Master Guardian 1. Otherwise, you will have a very hard time against the players in Faceit. But you can of course start whenever you want, just be ready to struggle if you start too early.
