Flip-knife Fade Guide
The Flip-knife Fade is split into normal 21 patterns. They all lay between 80% to 100%. The five main ones are 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100% Fade.
These percentages stand for how much of the blade is faded.
80% is the least faded and, therefore worst, while 100% is completely faded and is thus the best.
100% is also called Full Fade, while 98% and 99% are called Fake Full Fade. This is because they are nearly identical to Full Fade – only having slightly less purple on the tip of the knife.
See below for an illustration.

Flip Knife Fade
History
Flip-Knife Fade was added in “The Arms Deal” Update on the 14 August 2013. It is available in 11 cases that were released in 2013 to 2015.
These cases are Operation Bravo Case, CS:GO Weapon Case, Revolver Case, Operation Vanguard Case, Weapon Case, Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, eSports 2013 Winter Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case, Winter Offensive Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 3 and, eSports 2013 Case.
The Flip-Knife Fade is considered one of the second tier original knives and is thus often somewhat desirable for collectors.
Pattern Details
The Knives blade is chromed and coated with transparent paint, this allows the colors to interact with the lights and creates a nice gradient.
The pattern has three main colors of purple, pink and yellow with some unpainted parts on some patterns which appear grey.
This all appears in different degrees depending on what pattern index the knife has, the more of the blade is faded the more its worth.
The blade and the screw (on high fades) are faded, while the handle always is unfaded.
Floats impact
The float values on Flip-Knife Fade go between 0.00 to 0.08. This makes it only available in factory new or minimal wear
On higher floats scratches appear along the cutting edge of the knife. These are relatively small and hard to notice so having a bad float bowie is not terrible.
